Pirzan (old woman) mosque is named the most anonymous, smallest and oldest mosque in Tehran.

Behzad Yaqoubi, a researcher of Tehran history and the author of the book 'Dar al-Khilafah Mosques', said of the mosque: 'In my research to write the book 'Dar al-Khilafah Mosques', I found the name of Pirzan mosque. When I went to the mosque, I saw that it had become a ruin and only 12 meters remained of it."

Despite its age and modest appearance, the Pirzan Mosque is a significant site in terms of its small dimensions. The mosque is said to date back to the Safavid era. It is located near Tehran Grand Bazaar.

He added, "With the help of the shop owners, we renovated this small space and handed over the key to one of the old shop owners in the neighborhood, who opens the mosque an hour before the Zuhr prayer and closes it in the evening."

It is said that the old woman who built the mosque was very pious and devoted her life to Islam.

The simple and unassuming mosque is a beautiful place of worship where you can savor a few moments of solitude.
